Forget the name, this guy's pretty much all-American, rich American, but American just the same. No Italian accent, no smoldering charm but that's not enough to stop the girls from squealing with glee over the New Jersey boy. After all, he's a real live prince. This season they have stacked the deck even more than usual with the young, blonde and bubbly, perhaps realizing that anyone over 30 and The best thing about the prince is that he's a bit sarcastic, unfortunately his attempts at wit are lost on the girls who are deadly serious. After all, he's a prince.

As we have the cattle call lineup and the girls are paraded before their prince. Lorenzo has a habit of inhaling when he sees a hot girl. It's easy to tell when he is interested, he watches the girl stroll down the red carpet. You have to feel bad for the girls who don't even merit a glance at their hindquarters on the way in.

Erica, the Houston socialite seems to be princess enough already. Erica seems to be the type of person who views Paris Hilton as a role model. She even wears her tiara for the occasion. Rosella, a girl with gorgeous eyes and a deep Chicago accent admits that she sold her car to afford her prince-catching wear. She also knows more Italian than the prince does.

Desiree calls the prince baby and dances around for the prince who seems a bit smitten even though he says he doesn't usually like forward girls.

You have to have a gimmick in this game. Lisa, who has her "whole life planned out" and believes she needs to be married as soon as possible gets the prince to hug a tree with her. Andrea breaks out with a balcony serenade. Sadie's got her virginity but she's not giving that secret away to the prince yet.

This year they throw in a distraction, a pair of Italian babes who make the other girls very upset.

Our token drunken girl is Heather who is very reminscent of Farrah Fawcett, all ringlets and loopiness.

The first rose and a pair of diamond earrings go to Lisa. Ugh, our bachelor is devoid of taste. She's very cute but extremely competitive.

This time the rose ceremony takes place after an all-night party. Forcing the girls to stand outside in the harsh light of day during the rose ceremony just seems a bit unfair. Amazingly enough socialite Erica gets a rose, as does sweet Sadie and Gina, who makes the most horrible faces during the whole ceremony and one of the Italian ringers. The girls who are leaving took it fairly well, no major confrontations this year.

I'm not sure if I can stick around for this season, it's looking to be pretty dull thus far. The only thing that might lure me to stay is the previews for the whole season which hint at a psycho bachelorette and a rather tantalizing shot of the prince with big tears rolling down his face.
