ABC loves Bonnie Somerville

Bonnie Somerville, who has appeared on series such as NYPD Blue, Kitchen Confidential, Grosse Pointe and In-Laws and guest starred on episodes of Friends and The OC, has been signed into a deal with ABC that will either result in the actress getting her own pilot, or being brought into an already-existing series. I'm not sure what the allure is, because I never watched any of the previous series she was on, but apparently there's something about her ABC likes because the network is trying to keep her around. Her comedy series with Danny Comden, the actor/comedian seen most recently on the short-lived I'm with Her, was not picked up by the network.
