Heroes marathon this Sunday on NBC

by Richard Keller, posted Oct 20th 2006 11:20AM

Heroes CastNo Sunday Night Football this week on NBC due to the World Series (Go Tigers! Stupid Yankees!). So, in its place the network will be airing a mini Heroes marathon.

The marathon will begin after Football Night in America. The three episodes that will be airing are "Don't Look Back", "One Giant Leap" and "Collision". The pilot episode, "Genesis", will not air that night. On Monday Heroes will air in its normal time slot with a new episode.

Heroes has been one of the bright spots in a schedule featuring expensive dramas with poor ratings. Earlier this month the show was picked up for the entire season. I'm guessing that this marathon is to give viewers unfamiliar with the show a chance to see what it has.

I just started watching Heroes even went on NBC to see what I'd missed I will be watching the marathon I wish they would play the pilot episode this show is really good it's going to be great and I hope they leave it on Monday nights nice to know there's something good to watch on Monday.

I wish NBC would have full episodes (they recently just have current episode and 2 minute clips of the prior ones) on their website as ABC does easier to catch up as well as a replay of the episodes as ABC also does which helps and keeps viewers tuned in.

I agree, I saw that Friday Night Lights was the scheduled marathon and had already convinced 3 friends to watch or record the shows. FNL needs the exposure, Heros has word of mouth and ratings (I waych it also, love Hiro). Hope NBC runs FNL in marathon form on another Saturday.

Zucker has his head so far up his programming orifice.

A mini-marathon of FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS is more logical. FNL NEEDS the exposure. HEROES is going to benefit from this Sunday night run nearly as much as FNL would have.

Given NBC's plans for '07, I would like to submit a new slogan for the network.

Fire Zucker, save the network.

They were going to do a Friday Night Lights marathon. But they decided to do a Heroes marathon instead since FNL has been doing quite badly in the ratings.

A "Friday Night Lights" marathon maybe makes more sense. It's football-related, after all, and could certainly use the push more than "Heroes."
