Check out the new shows you might see next fall

Andy RichterIt's not even January yet, but that doesn't mean we can't take a sneak peek at some of the shows in development right now. The Futon Critic has a list that they've been updating every week, and while some of the show seem rather bland and the same old same same old, there are a few shows that could be interesting.

A few we already know about, such as Andy Barker, P.I., but there are several I haven't heard about yet. Cherries in the Snow is based on a novel about "lust, love, loss, and lipstick." It's about a cosmetics company in New York City; Ghosts is about a team of FBI agents fighting crime in D.C.; Good Ship is about doctor's on board a Navy ship; The Starter Wife is a miniseries that stars Joe Mantegna, Debra Messing, and Aden Young, and is about a woman married to a powerful Hollywood mogul; Steps is about a family-owned dance studio and is from Friends co-creator Marta Kauffman; Pretty Little Liars is about a dead teen girl who starts sending messages to her friends (not sure what the "liars" in the title refers to); and Nobody is about a woman who saves her daughter by giving up a part of her life, and finds out that she starts vanishing from the memory of everyone who loves her. Ooooooooo!

But the show that interests me is the as yet untitled drama from Bob Brush, about an 18 year-old girl who tells everyone about her family via a blog. My question is: will it Typepad? LiveJournal?

Eh, it will probably be My Space, and viewers will have to suffer through awful page design on their HDTVs all season.

The only one there that really interests me is Ghosts.

Actually, "Andy Barker, PI" was ordered for six, just like "The Office". The wife was recently reported as being recast and they are currently in production.

Andy Barker actually piloted in the current development season, wasn't ordered, and will likely air midseason (if at all) and not next fall.
