I recently heard the end of an interview with him on a local radio show (he's a local celeb). He had just written a book about his whole Jeopardy experience and at the end of the interview he said he may want to pursue a writing career. Guess he has enough money to pursue whatever he wants without having to worry about holding on to a steady job.

Ken has one of the most enjoyable personal blogs I've read. He's completely self-effacing, has a great sense of humor, and has a firm grasp on just how minor his minor celebrity is.

He's right if anyone cares about him.

Ken was writing on his personal blog. I don't really see that as "forcing himself" on anyone. But your point is well taken.

I can't help wondering why any of us give a damn what Ken Jennings thinks. Or any of those people from Survivor or other game shows. Or people from "The Real World." Or...
Damn this era of "anyone can be on TV." And why are they all getting more than their alloted 15 minutes of fame? And why do we let them force themselves into our collective consciousness? I mean, Ken Jennings had to interview HIMSELF. That's very telling.
That said, I must admit that it's refreshing to see so much attention lavished on an intelligent person than, say, the latest brainless and gormless hunk from some reality dating show.

A spin-off of sorts from Win Ben Stein's Money, that would be good for Ken. He could be a quiz show host and show off his knowledge.
