Wonder Showzen's collectible lunchbox
Wonder Showzen is MTV2's deliciously adult take on mid-70s children's programming like Sesame Street and The Electric Company. Mean-spirited puppets, befuddled children and subversive guest star appearances by the likes of Amy Sedaris and David Cross abound.
The lunchbox gift set will hit shelves on December 12th. The set contains Seasons 1 and 2 of MTV2's cult hit, which means no new content, but hey, cool lunchbox.
Who wouldn't want to send their kid to school "scrubbing off the blood of the working class?" It makes peanut butter and jelly with the crusts cut off extra yummy. Can the Wonder Showzen hooded poncho, children's backpack and Osh Kosh B'Gosh line be far behind?
From the picture, it looks like we're dealing with a metal lunchbox, which is good. I'd hate to see Wonder Showzen betray their old school leanings by going with soft-sided plastic. Kids today just don't appreciate a nice rust patina on their boxes the way I did when I was a kid. They're all probably eating Lunchables anyway. No word on whether a thermos will be enclosed.
