Faith Hill claims her CMA "freakout" was a joke - VIDEO

faith hillCountry singer Faith Hill is doing some damage control today after her behavior last night on the Country Music Awards. When she lost Female Vocalist of the Year to American Idol winner Carrie Underwood, Hill was shown throwing her arms in the air and saying, "WHAT?!?" Then she walked out of frame. It was a very Samuel L. Jackson-type of move.

Today, Faith HIll says she was just joking. She released a statement: "The idea that I would would act disrespectful towards a fellow musician is unimaginable to me." I actually believe her. Although, it's much more funny to imagine a big Country Music showdown between Faith Hill and Carrie Underwood, the two purest women in the genre.

I Love Faith hill so much and i just cant see her bening mean like that but yet when i see that video it is hard to say she was joking it looks pretty real to me.

the stuck up snotty bi-ch is a lier. she was pissed that she didn't win. but boy she thought that she was. and anyone one who agrees with her lie that she was joking is full of shi-. she isn't even women enough to admit she screwed up and say that she is sorry. i will NEVER listen to her again or have respect for her.

I can't believe people are making such a big deal out of this...Faith was totally joking...That is just her personality and having met her a couple of times I can say this...I don't know where people are getting their info about Faith not caring about people and her being a a total bitch....that is completly untrue...she is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet...she has such a big heart and truly cares about her fans....She has my support and love no matter what!!!!

You have GOT to be kidding me! That was NO JOKE! I was a Faith fan but boy I got a picture of the true Faith in that video clip. I have lost all respect for her. And to say it was a joke is an insult to our intelligence!

No joke from what I see. If it was a joke she would have stayed and smiled instead of storming off.

She just realized that the light at the end of the tunnel is a train named Carrie Underwood and her days as countrys top diva are numbered.

Let's see...she's won before...she knew the camera was on her...she knew (since she's been there before) the camera wants a reaction shot...she's got a sense of humor...

Based on the facts above, she was joking. I saw the video, and I really didn't think she was serious.
