I guess I'm in the minority but I love The Class. I am so happy that they won a People's Choice award; I voted for them. I think Lina and Ritchie are adorable, and the Yonk, Nicole, Duncan thing, though almost painful to watch because you can't help liking Yonk, is sweet. I like Kat and Ethan a lot too. I am sick of having gay characters shoved down my throat, though, so if they lost Holly, et al that would be okay with me.

I'm clearly in the monority about this show, but I actually enjoy it--I find the characters engaging, the story lines go in different directions than the usual, and the show has a dark edge that is rare in sitcoms these days. I'm always wondering where the show is going to go next and what's going to happen to the characters. And I do laugh a lot when I watch the show: Richie's line "Yeah, I'm a player," on tonight's show made me howl.

As far as the Monday night sitcom line-up goes on CBS, I think that "Two and a Half Men," though the longest-running show of the bunch, is the weakest and has wrung about all the humor out of the situation that it's going to. And I think "How I Met Your Mother" is the strongest of the shows, with clever writing and perfect comic timing on the part of its cast. Yes, Barney is the breakout character on the show, but I don't find the other character nearly as bland as some here apparently do. "Old Christine" falls somewhere in the middle, but it consistently makes me laugh, especially when the Mean Moms are around.

At this point, there are only seven network shows that I watch regularly, and these are four of them, so they must be doing something right, at least for me.

Yeah, they need to pull a "Facts of Life." You know, when they boiled a school full of students down to four regulars and Mrs. Garrett. That might work better, but only is some of the current plotlines resolve themselves. All the infidelity does stop being funny after a while...

We still watch this, because if we didn't we would have to find something else to fill that 30 minute void before Heros.

When watching the opening titles I always wonder how the rest of the class were erased from time like that. It always reminds of Back to the Future when they just disappear from the picture.

Huh. I love The Class; every week when the end credits roll I inevitably squawk and think that it cannot possibly have been half an hour already. I admit that the twins' storylines are better than the other two, and I am getting particularly tired of Duncan, but I still think it's fun watching.

Of course the show isn't funny - it's on CBS' Monday night comedy calvacade!

I mean, outside of Barney, is HIMYM actually funny? It's Barney, surrounded by four of the most bland, beige characters in all of sitcomland, and what's worse is that the most bland of those characters is essentially the main character. Yeah, that's exactly whom you build a sitcom around. I feel a bit dirty for watching this show every week just to get my small dose of Barney.

And I truly cannot think of anything positive to say about The New Adventures Of Old Christine. I've tried watching that show about six times since it debuted, and again, I can't find a single character on that show that I like, nor can I recall a single moment or line of dialogue that made me actually laugh out loud. How Julia-Louise Dreyfuss won an Emmy for that role, in that show, is beyond me. As far as I'm concerned, the Seinfeld Curse is still very much alive. Good ratings and an acting award doesn't change that fact in my mind, and what good is Wanda Sykes if she's just gonna be the same Wanda Sykes character we've seen her play in every single other project she's ever been involved with?

Two & A Half Men has it's moments, though something is fundamentally wrong when the biggest laughs are courtesy of the secondary characters. Sheen's and Cryer's characters are so utterly cliched that it's actually sad, and every week the plot does nothing but exploit the same tired tropes about a womanizing bachelor and his sad sack brother. I would feel bad for Jon Cryer if it wasn't the top-rated sitcom on network television, and he wasn't making a busload of cash. And speaking of cash, can anyone tell me with a straight face that Charlie Sheen actually deserves to be the top-paid sitcom actor?

Oh yeah - The Class. I guess the only thing I can say about it is that it truly deserves it's timeslot. That, and at least it isn't Yes Dear.

I think the show can stay if they get rid of the whole Holly storyline. They aren't even related to the rest. It's really just a time to get up and get a snack when we see them come on.

I totally understand why you are cutting it. I watch - but mostly as it's between HIMYM and two and a half men. It's like the old 8:30 Thursday NBC show. If they could get to just 4 characters (Ethan, Kat, Lina and Richie) the show might have a chance. But I stress might.

I watch far to much TV.
I decided to cut out some shows,
and this one was top of my list.
Til Death was also on the list.

I'm not gonna moan about the show though.
I hate it when people constantly bash a show.

I watched the first three episodes in a row,
and really enjoyed it.
It has some funny moments but its my least favourite show out of the big big list of shows I watch.
Therefore I stopped watching it.
