Jonathan, I will repost my comment from last week, as you have done the same:
get over yourself. Not everyone's lives revolve around television, like yours obviously does. For a person who actually has a life with obligations other than his or her couch on a weekday evening, serialized shows may not be appealing. These people may prefer procedural shows for this reason. I guess people with lives that are too busy to watch as much television as you do are "stupid americans." I'm a TV junkie, but I make time for it and have a DVR; however, I don't consider those who don't care to do the same "stupid." Get a life.

Hi guys!

Thanks for the list! But every week, I think the same thing...

Question: when Neilsen's counting the audience, who in the audience actually counts?

Answer: if you're 18-to-49, you do!

If not, not so much. (Sorry Dad...)

Haven't we've know that for, like, ever? Still, we keep getting more proof. Just the other day, Brian Lowry got into the question. He talked about how the WSJ mis-reported Studio 60's numbers... but it didn't matter to anyone reading the article, because the demo's all that matters.

http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117953913.html?categoryid=1682&cs=1

And for Studio 60, NBC sliced and diced the numbers with a serrated edge, using household income and educational background to save the show, right? That, plus clipping a coupon from the manufacturer. (grocer's special: free license fees in asile 60)

So the 60 that matters isn't here in the top 20. And 60 Minutes may show up at #12 but do advertisers really care?

And on the flip side, is it a surprise that "Networks and advertisers are losing out on the opportunity to connect with baby boomers, who are frustrated that they are being ignored in favor of younger viewers..."

But hey Dad, we can still get together for 60 Minutes. We'll laugh and laugh at those Aunt Jemima ads about irregularity.

xoxo

What happens to the ratings of Brother's and Sister's after following the number one show in America? I hope the show doesn't get canceled. I've grown attached to the characters. The writing and acting is great.
I hope that ABC gives it a fighting chance. Especially since they are soon to loose Dancing...
And lastly, I hope I didn't care so much. But after my DUI, I'm living and dying in front of the TV. I smell a conspiracy.

WOW! What a pathetic looking top 20. It makes me cringe to see THREE Dancing with the Retards shows in the top 10! That's just sad. Again there's only two shows i watch in that top 20 and they are Lost and House.

I keep saying that i can't wait till Dancing with the Retards finishes so that there will be some empty spots to fill in the top 20, but knowing you Americans it'll probably be filled by Show Me The Money!

Each and every week the top 20 is dominated by stupid procedurals and inane reality shows/game shows. People are so obsessed about these 'easy to digest' type of shows. And as much as i don't like Housewives or watch Greys at LEAST they're serial-type shows!

Really really sad top 20.
