Fox orders up more episodes of 'Til Death, Standoff

by Anna Johns, posted Nov 16th 2006 7:05PM
standoffFox has picked up the back nine episodes of the new comedy, 'Til Death, starring Brad Garrett and Joely Fisher. Even though the show hasn't done much in its Thursday night timeslot, Fox thinks there is an audience out there for this sitcom. Fox thinks that 24 and American Idol will draw in more viewers to the network when they begin in January.

The network has also ordered six more episodes of Standoff, starring Ron Livingston and Rosemarie DeWitt (and Gina Torres for all you Firefly fans). A rep for the network says it didn't order the full back nine (considered a full season) because there isn't going to be any room for a full season once 24 and American Idol begin.

I think Standoff is excellent. Keep it on and add the remaining episodes!

AD cost too much. You people are only thinking adience and not how much each show costs to make.

"No room for a full season"? Really? Surely you could poke a couple more episodes into the traditionally dead month of December?

I do like standoff but I like JUSTICE more. Why would they renew Til Death which has worse ratings than Justice -- must be something in Brad Garrett's contract

What audience for Til Death?! The only way any good could come out of this decision would be if (please, please, please) they replaced War at Home with another show and made a block out of Til death, War at Home and that other coming monstrosity with Rob Corddry.

We do appreciate the reference, but it really should read "Standoff, starring Gina Torres (with appearances by Ron Livingston and Rosemarie DeWitt)". Thanks!
