Prison Break: Disconnect

prison break disconnect
(S02E12) It seems we have conflicting reports on what's going to happen to the remainder of the season for Prison Break. On one hand we have a report that we'll see the show continue without interruption for a while longer, while on the other hand the network is saying that next week is the "fall finale." So which is it really? Maybe it's both, and the show will just continue past this "fall finale" into the next week?

Anyway, I digress. Let's get to this episode.

I'll say right up front that this wasn't exactly a best for the series. I've said all along that I don't find the background story to Lincoln's crime interesting at all, and that includes Linc and Michael's father's story. It just seemed poorly placed and uninteresting to me. Or I could just be a cold-hearted bastard, since I didn't find that whole moment sad at all. Alright I take that back -- I did find it sad, though not in the emotional sense.

How the hell did C-Note think he'd get away with running around with his daughter who needs a constant prescription? While I feel sorry for C-Note the most, his plans for escaping with his family are ridiculous. Here he is, freshly broken out of prison, sweaty and still wearing clothes that make him stand out as suspicious, while his wife and daughter are wearing fresh clothes and seemingly unaware that C-Note really doesn't have a good plan in place. Really the only way his story is going to end properly is when he gives himself up and lets his family live without being on the run.

I'm glad they're getting more into Michael's guilt over too many people being killed. It's one of those parts of the story that they can't simply brush aside. I do have to wonder if they're slowly setting us up to see Michael take the fall in the end, going to prison for the crimes he committed, or worse, getting killed saving who he can. I mean let's face it -- he has committed serious crimes here. Several people wouldn't have died if it weren't for Michael letting inmates free from Fox River. In the end, that's going to be unforgivable to not only the law but, most likely, to Michael's conscience.

Random thought: Where's Haywire? OK it's not all that random, but I'm going to keep asking this until they show what's going on.

T-Bag is one smart sonofabitch, no matter how crazy he may be. He's one of the characters I'm glad to see stick around, and really I think the show wouldn't be the same at all without him. Some of the others I could live without. I'm glad to see Bellick Brad get his in the end, and for T-Bag to be the one behind it is just perfect.

I have to admit I was half expecting Mahone to come popping up from behind a boulder with a bazooka and take out Sucre's plane with a surface-to-air missile. They still threw us another unrealistic element, though, with Mahone somehow losing Michael and Linc in a car chase in the middle of a desert. That whole ending scene with the crash was a letdown other than leaving us with a pretty good cliffhanger into next week.

Didn't anyone else notice the brand of cigarettes on T-Bag's receipt?

Morleys.

The brand the Cigarette Smoking Man preferred on THE X-FILES!

Clearly, Agents Mulder & Scully will show up in the series finale to save the day!

The name of the song playing in the Prison Break fall finale trailer is "It's Not Over" by Chris Daughtry(yes the American Idol contestant..) I was looking for it for over a week now and finally ran across it. I dont care if he was on American Idol..the song rocks. Hope this helps.

The Kansas police don't seem to realise that Bellick made his call from his hospital bed presumably when Geary is already dead. He was surrounded by cops at the time anyway.

Wouldn't the hotel staff have noticed a crazed, bloodied one-armed man sneaking around or at least checked the CCTV. What about the prozzers? There must be some record of Geary calling them.

Instead they have the indisputable evidence of a dead hand pointing to a receipt.

Sometimes suspending your disbelief is just too hard. Still love the series though.
