David Cross covers Bank of America song -- VIDEO

by Anna Johns, posted Nov 21st 2006 8:14AM
david cross; johnny marr; bank of america; u2; oneDavid Cross has gone and mocked that Bank of America singer who made the rounds on the internet recently. Cross did it in the best possible way: by singing it straight. He basically does the same cover of the U2 song, One, that a Bank of America employee repurposed to celebrate the merger of Bank of America and MBNA.

The video is from last week during the "Hot Tub" show at Comix in NYC. Accompanying him on guitar was Johnny Marr, of The Smiths. Cross has a surprisingly good singing voice!

Video after the jump (there's another angle of it here):

There's no I in Teamocil,
At least not where you think.
So together let's make a choice,
And for once we'll be in sync.
I never thought I knew you well,
Now I think we really shall.

Teamocil is no longer available.

watch mr show. you'll see david cross singing his balls off, with many appearances by one Mr. Jack Black.
