Why Horatio Caine gives me the creeps - VIDEO

by Anna Johns, posted Nov 22nd 2006 10:07AM
horatio caineDavid Caruso is so over the top as Horatio Caine and I'm not the only one who thinks so. Someone has edited Horatio one liners in a seven-minute long video clip and posted it on YouTube. It's a compilation of all the super-cool lines he has before the opening credits of CSI: Miami. And each one ends with the opening note of the theme song. By the way, you don't need to watch the whole seven minutes to understand that Horatio Caine is the master of the ellipsis (...). And, he uses his sunglasses as a prop way too much.

Video is after the jump:

I think Horatio is great. He has a presence all of his
own. The show just would'nt be anything without him.

The comparison can be made of David Caruso and Jack Lord. Watching old re-runs of Hawaii Five-O is like watching Caruso in CSI Miami. It's like he studied all of Jack Lord's mannerisms and everything. Watch Hawaii Five-O and tell me he doesn't pause over his words like Jack Lord does or his posture or even his sunglasses bit.

Quit hatin on "H". I love "H", his sunglasses and his one liners. Don't hate him 'cause you ain't him. You are obviously watching the "H" just like I am. And how about his directives to "Mr. Wolf?"

Since he bugs me too... I have to ask myself... why I can't... stop watching?

Caruso/Caine smilies: 8-| :-| 8-|

And to make matters move from the sublime to the ridiculous, A&E seems to have gone on a serious CSI-M binge lately - 3 or 4 shows a night! Couldn't they have done this with something more watchable like NYPD Blue, or the original CSI? Or is this show available for this treatment because it's cheap (meaning no-one else wants it)?

Curuso-TOX! LMAO....I believe Im lol with ppl who watch first couple of seconds on 10pm Monday Nights. Looks like it was all season 3-4 I believe. (I only have season 1 & 2 DVD). I like when he puts his sunglasses and wiggles his head like a jackbox. (So funny I love it!)

I like #17's idea....great when friends are over.

Last weeks show had H on a bridge in the distance, behind him was the weirdest sun/sky colours of orange/purple shades. Slowly we get closer to H, just standing there. WOW....
Does H run the whole town - last few week - he kill a bad guy after he chase him for miles around town with no other cops in sight.
