(S02E13) I didn't really pay much attention to the previews last week, so I didn't see it coming when Mike and Linc were taken into custody. Of course it makes more sense that something like that would happen, given how last week ended, since clearly we couldn't have Mahone going on killing the two of them.
Somehting that sort of occurred to me: Why is Mahone trying to kill them when it seems like it might actually be easier to kill William Kim? Would he think that those who work with/for Kim would still carry out the hit on his family? I guess that could be the case, but with Mahone's attitude it seems he'd feel a lot better killing Kim than the two brothers.
As vile as T-Bag is, he's the most interesting character of the series so far -- Michael lost that privilege a while back. I almost wonder if the creators of this show modeled T-Bag somewhat after Hannibal Lecter, how he seems to have a way with words and one hell of a creepy demeanor. "Don't be frightened. Teddy's home."
At first the notion of Bellick going to Fox River seemed completely absurd, though the writers seem to have lightened that up a bit bu excusing things on the new warden wanting to prove himself. The problem there is how does he prove himself in the right by throwing a former employer of the state in with gen pop to be eaten alive? Oh, and someone commented previously on who they'd like Bellick's cellie to be -- good call!
Are we supposed to know who that was with Kim, the mute old guy? OK mabe he wasn't mute, but he sure seemed to like passing notes along. I think his next one was "I like you do you like me? Circle: yes or no."
Getting back to Bellick, is it typical that someone who murdered one man be considered for the death penalty? Sure Linc was there for the same reason, though he killed a very high profile person, so in the interest of maintaining the country's faith, I could see them pushing for his death. But Bellick? Mommy's Brad?
Random thought: T-Bag's new chick works in a Post Office and hasn't seen a big poster with T-bag's face plastered on it before? Everyone else in the country does and she doesn't?
I'm actually glad to see that Sucre made it out. Is it the end of the line for his side of the story? Is he just as likely to be extradited if he's caught in Mexico? Or is he really, truly free (though broke)?
And then Sara, finally taking the hint that changing her appearance might be a good idea, even though she really is still pretty easy to pick out. Come on people, a shaved head or purple hair! Nobody looks for that!
As for what should have been a shocker ending, the network totally botched it for everyone with their commercials saying "you won't believe who helps them." So it's close to the end of the episode, and nobody has helped them yet. It didn't take much to figure out how it'd all go down.
Looks like we have to wait until January for things to begin again. See you then!
