EVOO added to dictionary; Rachael Ray's world domination plan continues

Rachel Ray's EVOOOkay, now I'm getting a tad bit afraid. Last week we told you that, on top of everything else that is owned by or endorsed by Rachael Ray, three of her meals were being tested on the current mission of Space Shuttle Discovery. Now we hear that one of her trademark Rachael-isms is being added to the next edition of the Oxford American College Dictionary. Can enrichment of uranium without U.N. approval be far behind?

The word being added is EVOO, which is an abbreviation for 'Extra Virgin Olive Oil'. According to our friends over at sister site Slashfood, the announcement that the word would be added to the dictionary was made last week on her talk show by the editor of the Oxford American. During the announcement the editor spoke about how hard it was to get a word added into the dictionary. Hence, the reason 'Yum-oh' wasn't added.

You know what this means, don't you? Rachael may be surpassing friend Oprah in the race to rule the world. Yes, Oprah has billions of dollars and millions of fans. But, as far as I know, she doesn't have a word in the dictionary. Let the bloodletting begin!

For #11 - If you actually watched 30 minute meals instead of mouthing off about what you obviously know nothing about you would hear her say countless times that she washes all her vegetables before she puts them in the fridge. Any smart person would do the same, which is why im sure you dont.

NO ONE IS CAPTIVATING ENOUGH TO BE ON TELEVISION AS MUCH AS THIS CHICK!! SHE NEVER EVEN WASHES HER VEGETABLES AND HER RECIPES ARE A BUNCH OF CRAP!!

Your so right, Rachael is so bad, she makes emeril lagasse look like Juila Child and emeril has far more talent.

I remember all the negative comments when Oprah graced our TV screens...Rachael Ray is attractive, talented, witty & has a dynamic personality. Give the woman a chance...she may not have been the first to use EVOO...but she is the one to get is documented. Those of you dissing her do have a choice...change the channel...maybe to watch Kelley Rippa sip her drink & watch herself in the monitor.

wow, thaks guys! I never even heard of this chick or EVOO, but hearing you talk (...or seeing you comment i guess) so passionately just gave me a great laugh! :) but by the way, i totally agree that EVOO has probably been a term long before this gal started using it, and she sounds horrendously annoying! i hope somebody can get her off the air!!
