Wait a minute. Why not let them on the show. It's called acting, it's all make believe. The show goes way beyond the boundaries of realism every week, but it's still entertaining. Not letting Aniston and Stiller on because they're too recognizable is a bit disengenuous. We all know that Keifer Sutherland is a Canadian actor, not a counter-terrorism agent from L.A. But, we accept him in the role for an hour or so to be entertained.

I think the show's taking itself a bit too seriously.

oh brother! please make this aniston chic and ben stiller get lost! we don't need them on tv trying to be a star. don't like ben, or jen's acting, and never have. they both are to annoying, and after about 10 minutes, your just so turned off by them. they are just not that great to look at; whether on tv or on the big screen. THEY'RE JUST TOOO PLAIN ANNOYING! BIG TIME! i'm ecstatic that they won't be on 24; surnow doesn't need those two losers on the show at all. thank you! but the truth had to be told.

(by the way, he was EXCELLENT in BABEL, SAW IT LAST NIGHT, AND IT WAS SUPERB!) also, i don't like the way she bad mouthed her ex and all, after he left her. she should of just bowed out gracefully like some of these other actresses have done. whats wrong with her? is she a little somewhat crazy, like! and, just because Angelina (which is totally a WOMAN & EXTREMELY GORGEOUS!) has been in the news because of the Good Shepard, now THIS IDIOT HAS HER FRIENDS TALKING TO THE MAGS AND WEB SITES ABOUT THIS DIMWIT NOT TAKING HER EX'S PERFECT FAMILY LIFE ALL THAT WELL, AND THAT THEY WORRY ABOUT HER POSSIBLY HARMING HERSELF. Boy! and she calls those BIMBO'S FRIENDS!! as far as i'm concerned, this dimwit did all of this to herself, and she only has herself to blame. REMEMBER! EVEN DENISE RICHARDS IS MUCH MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN THIS DIMWIT! basically, there are soooooo many other actresses out there, that really are much better looking than jennifer, AND THEY CAN ALSO ACT BETTER, TOO.

On that note i think the ranting of #20 should be put on Brad and Angies fan site blog seeing as it had nothing to so with the question at hand. As for the question at hand, I think it was the right decision, as I see Jen and Ben more comical.

What always happens when you bring in other well-known actors into a show: friction. They all want to be the star because they're drawn to it like drug addicts. C'mon, we've all seen what Hallie Barry did to X-Men 3.

Too bad Aniston did not get accepted to 24 in Season 5. If she had, I would have had no problem with her temporarily replacing Edgar right before the nerve gas canisters were set off in CTU. Seeing her die would have been worth it!

I agree with you Joel as to not bring this jennifer on your show. can you just see her next to Keifer, and her trying to hog all the lines and scenes away from Keifer and everyone else. yes, thats just the way she is, and you would be making a major mistake in putting her on your show, and then your 24 would get cancelled. jennifer is not a good actress at all, and she doesn't fit in at all on your type of show. so please don't bring this bad actress on your show at all, or you sure as heck will lose me as one big fan of your show. and, finally, everyone knows that she will always be a rachel greene because thats all she knows how to be and act in anything that she does. THIS IS WHY SHE SUCKS AS AN ACTRESS, plus she's too old now and she should be playing more parts as a mother figure; she's almost 40, and thats pretty old for a woman trying to be some kind of a terrorist. i'd laugh my *** off!

So many of us out here in the public, are so totally sick of this HAS BEEN THAT CAN'T EVEN ACT! SO Joel, please never, ever even think about bringing this big whiner, liar to her fans, (which I am no longer a fan of hers with all the lying that she does), self centered and arrogant person that will do anything to get attention, and the way she uses people to get what she wants, too. I don't know her personally, but just from what I've read about her and seen about her, this is how she so totally makes herself appear. And, let me tell you, Joel, I have read alot about this woman, even going way back to when she started dating BP, and let me tell you, just like Vince stated, Jennifer Aniston is nothing but a MEDIA MONGER! Bottomline!! She so truly needs to get lost, now; because she has had her 15 minutes of fame. Now, she just lives each and every day, trying to compete with the ever so talanted Angelina on just about everything. How about the casting of Samwise/Rudy? He was just playing another character. That is what actors do. Anyway, the day Kim went from barely graduating High School to becoming an integral techie at CTU, the show lost all sense of reality for me.
