I'm an O&A fan but I'm realistic. Sirius is not floundering at all. There stock is just plain awful but as far as subscriber rates Sirius is doing great. Sirius is doing better then XM as of late. He does seem desperate to get more listeners but why wouldn't he be? He had an extremely large audience and now it's musical compared to what he use to have. I can't stand his show but I hate ignorant people who post lies.

Sirius reaches positive free cash flow

CHICAGO (MarketWatch) -- Sirius Satellite Radio Inc. said Tuesday that it would report positive free cash flow for the fourth quarter of 2006, ending the year with more than 6 million subscribers.

SIRI3.54, -0.01, -0.3% ) announced that it added 2.7 million subscribers last year, bringing its total to 6.024 million paying customers. The figure represents an 82% improvement over the 2005 total.
The company had cut its 2006 subscriber forecast in December, saying that it expected to end the year with between 5.9 million and 6.1 million subscribers by the end of the year, compared with its earlier expectation of 6.3 million subscribers.
Sirius was counting heavily on a surge in holiday sales, partially bolstered by its new Stiletto wearable radio. But Chief Executive Mel Karmazin pointed to slower retail sales than expected from the Thanksgiving weekend onward.
In addition, the company faced difficult comparisons with the fourth quarter of 2005, when the imminent Sirius debut of popular radio host Howard Stern led to 500,000 subscriber additions. Stern came to satellite radio in January 2006 after many years at Infinity (now CBS) Radio.

He's out desperately trying to sell Sirius, who is floudering bigtime and lost all buzz they created when he moved over... Stock prices plumetting, subscription rates plumetting... He's in desperation mode trying to sell this thing and remain relevant. With how little you hear about him these days, I'm surprised these shows ar still booking him. I guess it's because Dave and Jimmy are friends of his....

or if someone gave you a car as a present, you be PO'd also, because now you have to pay for insurance, gas, license fees, etc?

I love Howard Stern. Didn't catch any of his (MANY) talk show appearances last week. Was wondering what he was pitching since he doesn't go on unless he's got something to sell.
