New UN Secretary General, folks. Replacing Kofi Annan is Ban Ki-moon. I loved the list of UN Secretary Generals with funny names... My favorite was, of course, Doodle Van Taintstain.

"Episcolypse Now": Homosexuality and churches. More trouble again. It never ends!

"This Week in God: Christmas Christacular": Samantha Bee, accompanied by a very festive God Machine. The latest craze in worship is, apparently, dancing to U2 in church. Hmm. Oh, and I've seen commercials for the Oozinator before. Yeah. I definitely thought "money shot" too.



"Newsweak": Holy crap! I'm TIME's Person of the Year! And so are you! And you! And Jon! And Soledad O'Brien, who was a little too amazed by the shiny cover of the latest issue.

The night's guest was presidential candidate Tom Vilsack. I'm not sure if making The Daily Show his first stop was a smart or stupid move, but it was certainly a strange one. He was funny, though, presenting Jon with that plush Aflack duck (he even made me laugh out loud with the alarmingly corny "I'm not going to duck the issue"). It was a good interview. Vilsack did a good job.

Jon/Stephen: Stephen had some fond words for his Jewish friend. Moment of Zen: Dreidel Man? That's... weird.
