Jon StewartSome quick Tara Conner news... The newest Miss USA was in the middle of a huge scandal, only to be saved by Donald "Yay for Second Chances!" Trump. Actually, Jon didn't seem to mind the rumors about Conner's bisexuality. Ha-HA! Bi-curous.

"Irandecision 2006": The results of Iran's recent election don't look so good for President Mahmud Ahmadinejad. As for news in Iraq, Iran's not-so-friendly neighbor, violence has reached record highs. Whee!

Senior Correspondent John Oliver explained why everything's so messed up in Iraq... It's really Iraq's fault. All we need to do is make Iraq more like Iran!

The night's guest was Bill Kristol, from the Weekly Standard. Kristol was right on when he asked if he was just there for Jon to be cathartic. I did think it was a bit rude that Kristol couldn't get a word in edgewise without the TDS audience erupting.

Jon/Stephen: Stephen Colbert wasn't so nice to his 7th grade interns. Moment of Zen: Rock Balboa went on the 700 Club to say that God is a-okay with him.

The Second Chances storyline was for Donald Trump to show his kinder gentler side to protect his "investment".

Wow, you got it up early this time Annie!
Did anyone else notice that after Kristol asked if he was just on to be cathartic Jon started crossing things off on his interview cards? It's as though he felt bad and elected to not call him on the list of other things that are conservative ideology that bother him. The show felt kind of short (probably because the interview was so long) but it was probably the most memorable part of the episode.
