Check out Penn Jillette's sex tub

by Bob Sassone, posted Jan 5th 2007 4:52PM

Jillette's tubOne of the great things about the web is that almost anything you want to know about is usually just several clicks away. Especially at Google, where they are putting up just about everything you could possibly want to know about.

Case in point: patents. You can search through patents from 1790 to 1996. And that includes patents from celebrity inventors. Did you know that Lawrence Welk patented an ash tray shaped like an accordian? Or how about an enhanced fish attractor device from M*A*S*H's Gary Burghoff? And how about this music display system from Harry Connick, Jr.?

But the most interesting might be the Hydro-Therapeutic Stimulator from Penn Jillette. Basically, it's a large water-filled tub used for, um, sexual stiimulation (for females - sorry, guys).

Look at the expression on that women's face! I'm all for pleasuring oneself in the tub - that's why those hand held massaging water things were invented I believe - but that woman is not having fun. I can't imagine sour old Penn Jillette knows anything about women and/or pleasure.

Actually, his patent is primarily on the placement of a jet - in the seat of the tub. He's told this story on his show before, as well.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penn_Jillette#Projects says that it is a patent for "a hot-tub jet specially angled for a woman's pleasure."

In other words, he invented the Jacuzzi?

Penn Gillette is a huge blowhard and a horrible radio host.

I've listened to his show a few times, and he's mentioned this damn thing too much. Sorry, but picturing him having sex with anyone isn't a good image

I second Jennifer's comment. The "blow dryer story" is classic.

I HIGHLY recommend that people listen to yesterday's Penn Radio show (http://podcast.penn.freefm.com/penn/58533.mp3). He is (or used to be, anyway) REALLY obsessed with baths. Apparently people thought he had syphilis due to the amount of damage too much bathing had done to his skin.

Warning: there's a painful story about his ah, "Little Houdini" as the main feature of this show...it's hilarious, though.
