Hannity gets new gig on Fox News

by Adam Finley, posted Jan 5th 2007 7:02PM

sean hannityAs president of the Sean Hannity Fan Club, I am thrilled to announce that Sean Hannity's new hour-long, live program for Fox News will be debuting this Sunday. Hannity's America will include an in-depth feature story, debates with liberals, and interviews. I will be selling busts of Hannity made out of nuts and chocolate in celebration of this new show, and will also be constructing a giant replica of the conservative pundit out of old mufflers. Actually, they'll be mufflers I steal from cars in the parking lot, resulting in a cacophony of unmufflered engines serving as a noisy salute to Hannity.

One of the segments of the new show will be "Hannity's Hot Seat" in which he asks a liberal five "yes or no" questions. Hannity said he was sick of people never giving him a straight "yes" or "no" answer to his questions. I have to agree with Sir Hannity, I'm really sick of people who try to put thought into their responses. Can you imagine how much more convenient life would be if we all followed his example? Weddings would only last a few seconds:

Minister: You guys wanna be married?

Bride: Yes.

Groom: Yes.

Minister: Okay, you're married.

My suggestion to liberals who might be asked to appear on the show is to train a donkey to appear in your place. Just teach it to tap its hoof once for yes and twice for no.

Lowe's has pulled it's advertising from BIll Orally, and maybe Hannity might find the same reuslt soon. I bet Roger isn't happy about losing the largest building supplier on Earth.
But selling penis enlargement pills and reverse mortgages tells one who is watching.
Watching the neocons implode reminds me of the southern white guys in the mid 1960's...no choice, no where to go and no friends.

Dear Oscar Betournay,

3013 Americans dead in the Iraq War. That's the long and the short of the Bush admin.

i'm sorry, but what has the bush administration done that is so outstanding? they've got us in an unnecessary war instead of going after osoma, a war that has no end in sight and won in which we can't leave.
how is cnn elitist? cite me examples, don't just use right-wing buzz words that have no meaning.
how are pelosi and clinton shrill? clinton voted for the war and pelosi wants to make congress not completely special interest (i'm not saying she's going to clean it up completely, but at least she's attempting to clean it up some).

the problem with those on the far right and the far left is that instead of actually attempting to have any kind of discussion on topics important to the country, they just use whatever is on their talking points full of nice quotes but little substance. it's this lack of substance that hannity, colmes, glenn beck, and o'reilly thrive on. hannity just came out this week claiming there are weapons of mass destruction despite no evidence of such. this is the kind of "news" you want to get? go ahead, but don't blame anyone but yourself for being stupid and ill-informed.

Rich, liberals don't know how to do anything but cry, whine, kvetch and name call. Even when they win, they lose. This next two years is gonna make the case to Americans why Liberals and the Left can't manage a 12 year olds checking account let alone the ecnmy or a war. Hell, even the terrorists were excited that the Left won. How sad is that??

It's disgusting that the bloggers here use their "clout" to bash conservatives every chance they get. Especially since there are more than enough Lefty pompous ass "political pundits" out there

King, Blobermann, Carvel, Dobbs, Amanapour, what the heck, 90 percent of elitists at CNN. Don't worry, this "win" will be shortlived. Just keep (trying) to stare at the Pelosi/Clinton shrill force.

Uh, Oscar (#12), what does any of that have to do with the name of this blog "Hannity gets new gig on Fox News"? I thought we were discussing television, not the political direction of this country.

They're all rich white people.

Fling poo if you must but anyone who claims to slavishly follow every tenet of either party is a moonbat and cannot possibly be taken seriously.

Hannity has a new show? Blinkered intolerance to follow.

Olbermann has a new Special Comment about the war? Puerility and foot-stomping ahead.

So, stop yelling at Mr. Betournay. He's wrong but it really doesn't matter.

So, Mr. Betournay, stop yelling at everyone. They're wrong but it really doesn't matter.

Stop getting pissed. Life is too short.

Eat a nice piece of fruit or a candy bar.

Wink at a homely person.

Watch some TV.

Peace.

It is not that we are touchy just aggrevated that the blowhard name calling is back. Funny how the progressives need to resort to namecalling and personal attacks to make a point. Not much talent there. No matter your writing style!

Whether they're spouting liberal views, conservative views, or trying to sell us the latest gadget we simply cannot live without, it always seems that the ones who get the most attention are the biggest buffoons and disgraces to their causes/professions. It's a sad thing to realize, but our society today seems to be drawn to "clowns".

The soft-spoken, intellectuals just don't seem to be interesting to the majority of our population, hence we snipe and insult and argue over politics when we're really getting worked up over caractures trying to disguise themselves as news reporters, crusaders, analysts or whatever title they try and pass themselves off as. Our airwaves and political offices are filthy with these hucksters and "the public" is eating it up.

I say all this knowing full well I'm as bad, or worse, than anyone when it comes to jumping into a political argument. Having said that, there are plenty of people who like to try and instigate these little tiffs and you know who you are, Bob.

Hannity is an intellectual lightweight and an embarassment to anyone with conservative views (as Olberman should be to liberals).

As someone said, there are plenty of intellectuals on TV who carry the conservative mantle very well. Just listen to Charles Krauthhammer or the WSJ editorial report. Those guys are all brilliant and articulate.

That being said, there is plenty of trash on TV far worse than Hannity's show.
