Paula Abdul explains her strange behavior - UPDATE

paula abdulLate last week, Paula Abdul appeared drunk or stoned on a morning television show in Seattle. She was doing a live satellite interview with the affiliate from New York. In the interview, which I posted last week, Paula swayed back and forth on camera and she slurred her speech.

Last night she appeared on The Tonight Show and explained her behavior to Leno. She said that she had two television stations asking her questions in her earpiece. Instead of calling an end to the interview(s), she just went with it. She thinks she was answering questions from Alabama while appearing on television in Seattle. She denied being drunk or on medication, but she couldn't really explain away her slurring. Maybe that's just how she talks now? Paula said it's a big deal out of nothing and all she was trying to do was have fun with a challenging situation.

Do you guys believe her?

YES I ABSOLUTELY AGREE. PAULA APPEARED HIGH OR DRUNK. I FELT SORRY FOR JEWEL THAT NIGHT. SHE SEEMED LOST. PAULA MADE AN ABSOLUTE SPECTACLE OF HERSELF, AND YES IT WAS NOTICEABLE THAT SIMMON BARELY EVEN LOOKED AT PAULA THAT FIRST AMERICAN IDOL NIGHT. ITS SAD THAT YOU WOULD THINK THAT COMPETANT PEOPLE ARE UP THERE JUDGING. SPEAKING OF MONKEYS, THE FACES THAT PAULA WERE MAKING LOOKED.....LIKE A MONKEY!!!

looked to me like an opiate problem, both on idol last night and during the various "challenging" interviews. how much you wanna bet she's whisked off to a rehab center before idol goes live in hollywood?

Never mind Regis, what about her behavior last night? She could hardly utter an audible word and seemed barely able to keep her eyes open on the first night of Idol. Think she needs some help! If she is going to need pain meds then limit the amount before she is on TV!

I've been a fan of Paula's for many years. It seems that she is in worse shape each time I see her. I am a greatgrandmother and love American Idol. I do not appreciate the way she looks and behaves on the show and neither does my family who ranges in age from 15 to 62. We gather as a family to watch Idol and no longer enjoy watching the way she acts. I have a good friend with back problems who takes medication for pain and she is never in that shape. Give us a break and replace her.

Speaking from experience i believe that she is on an excess of pain meds. On idol last nite i feel she was so fidgety because she was trying to keep from nodding out. Her left eye was half closed and she showed none of the enthusiasm she has in the past. Jewel i think was there to take the spotlight off of Paula. If she needs the pain meds fine, but make it work so she isnt high on tv that is meant for our youth.

whats the big deal if paula is stoned, or sick or whatever... it's her life, she wanna go on national television and mess up big deal. shes only human with lots of money. the public is just jealous and has a lot of free time like me to watch and listen and read all these crap. grow up people.

This woman is so wiped out on Vicoden! Watched her on season premire of Idol and could not believe that she was allowed to stay on the show!
They only had camera on hwe when it was absolutely necessary and she was obviously so high!
Paula.... get off the pills!
