Keith Partridge loves Rice Krispies - VIDEO

by Adam Finley, posted Jan 20th 2007 8:01AM

keith partridgeLike most people, I spend my days trying to figure out how to be more like Keith Partridge. I've tried growing my hair out, learning how to sing, and have even tried unsuccessfully to get adopted by Shirley Jones. As it turns out, I've been going about this the wrong way. All one needs to be just like Keith is to enjoy a bowl of Kellogg's Rice Krispies in the morning. At least, that's what the commercial I placed below seems to indicate.

I do have a couple qualms with the ad, however. First of all, I would never let anyone else poor milk on my cereal. I'm very picky about the crunchiness of my cereal, and must insist on pouring the milk myself to avoid sogginess. Also, I don't care how much the cereal snaps, crackles and pops, you can't hear it all the way upstairs. The only way Keith could have heard it is if he's part dog, or possibly a werewolf. If he is a werewolf, that can only mean Rice Krispies are made from human flesh. Sometimes these things don't reveal themselves until you've watched an ad about thirty times and finished off a six pack of Pabst Blue Ribbon, but that's why I'm here, folks.

Kyle,
You need a new hobby. Picking on poor bloggers who simply write to entertain you is pathetic. Talk about self-absorbed and boring. Your comments show you to be a blogger wannabe with only minimul talent. And you are mean.

Recycling old commercials is lazy enough, but at least you could get your werewolf mythology right. Werewolves attack and kill all kinds of animals besides humans...even the fake ones in the movies.

Beyond that, the reference to Rice Krispies being made of human flesh wasn't funny...if that was your intent...without something else to give it context.

At least you get more comments that the self-absorbed, boring Bob Sassone. But aiming at low-hanging fruit is a poor substitute for ambition IMO.

What are the qualifications needed to be a blogger for TV Squad? A keyboard? A friend in high places?
