What to Watch Mon., Jan. 22

Prison Break on FoxPrison Break (8PM, Fox)
Has 'Prison Break' become totally improbable? Far-fetched? Over-the-top? Yes, yes and yes. But its twists and turns really turn on the adrenaline (and are tame compared to Jack Bauer's life an hour later). Now that they've joined up with Kellerman and with an upcoming return by Patricia Wettig's President, the spring half of 'Break' promises to be one hell of a fun rollercoaster ride.

NOTEWORTHY

Engaged and Underage (9:30PM, MTV) series premiere
Here's a thought: People who aren't old enough to drink shouldn't get married. Long-term commitment requires a good, stiff drink every now and then.

Heroes (9PM, NBC)
If I had to choose between '24' and 'Heroes,' I might just have to saw the TV in half. Luckily, that's what DVRs are for. Tonight is all about (whispery) "The List."

Everybody Hates Chris (8PM, The CW)
Aww, it's the family show staple: the episode when the kids learn how to parent by taking care of an egg/doll/plant/baby.

I Love New York (9PM, VH1)
Money, money, money: A dream man must have lots of it.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (10PM, NBC)
Danny likes Jordan. Matt likes Harriet. More kissy face, less preaching.

The new format stinks. The old format was simple, and to the point. Now, we have tv listings as might be done by Microsoft - complex and messy.

TV Squad obviously doesn't care what their readers want.

I wish they'd actually make a regular post explaining the change and speaking to the criticisms about the fact that it is:
a) Harder to read than the old list (channels are harder to pick out)
b) Poorly formatted - Heroes is listed in both the top section and the bottom section, but studio 60 isn't
c) requiring you to open the site to view the whole page.

I'm fine with giving you advertising dollars. But admit thats why you're doing it.

Prison Break is two dudes running from the cops. That's more exciting than L.A. being actually nuked before Jack Bauer's eyes?

Whatever.

Has 'Prison Break' become totally improbable? Far-fetched? An insult to intelligence ? yes, yes and yes.... and this is exactly why this show [and other's guilty of the same] should be put to rest. If you're going to do reality-based fiction shouldn't reality's rules still apply? There's better ways to get an adrenaline rush...
