Bob... come on now... let me get this straight... You write an article talking about mondays TV ratings and the first thing that you think is worthy enough to write about is that CSI Miami has alot of viewers in comparison to sudio60. Really though? The same studio60 that barely even made it to the second half of the season.

This really surprises you? Really?? CSI:miami is the most watched show in the world and you cant believe that is being beat by another sorkin snoozer. Why dont you take a look at some of the real issues, Bob. Like how 2.45 men can be getting 16 million viewers when it goes up against not only 24, but the return/winter season premeire of heroes.

I think this story is kinda of like staying at the watergate back in the 70's, seeing a bunch of people break into the DNC office, and than writing a really touching piece on how soft the towels were at the hotel.

I don't mind the CSI shows ... they are fun to watch (if nothing else) ... though I think NCIS is more fun ... what would be quite cool though would be a CSI show set in London, or Paris ... someplace where the laws are different than the US.

It would be interesting to see a foreign forensics system at work

CBS rules Monday night? According to thefutoncritic.com NBC came first in the key category, the 18-49 year olds. Not just when it comes to Heroes, but overall. And yes, that demographic is the one which really matters to advertisers. It's because of that demographic The Office is still on TV.

Not only that, but FOX came 2nd and CBS third.

I tape CSI: Miami and watch it later because I like Emily Proctor and Jonathon Togo, and yes, watching Caruso chew up the scenery and regurgitate it on his witless costars can be a hoot. Although I cringe every time Khandi Alexander refers to an adult corpse as "Baby Boy" or "Baby Girl", ugh. It's a mistake to assign guilt by association to CSI: Crime Scene Investigation because of the spinoffs. The original was and usually still is a taut, exciting mystery thriller with good cast and writing that I enjoy as much as the better BBC shows like Wire In the Blood and Waking the Dead. The spinoffs, not so much; unlike the Law & Order shows, each of which has a different focus and mood, CBS just seems to be trying to run the same show on three different nights, and using different casts because they have to and different locales because they can. Unfortunately, they can't seem to stock the writers' room and the cast with the same depth as the original.

As for Heroes, I watched the first several episodes and find its success as mystifying as that of Babylon 5, which I thought was simply dreadful. It just goes to show that just because you think something is wonderful, or terrible, doesn't mean that everyone has to agree with you. I've met people who seem quite intelligent who believe that Seinfeld was trash, for example.

Actually, when you think about it, CSI Miami has no noteworthy competition. So it doesn't surprise me. I think it's the best of the CSIs: it has action and a style unlike any other procedural. It was the last one I gave up before I totally got tired of CSI. Studio 60 is not very popular, and What about Brian is also trite.

CSI: Miami is awful. Alot watch it because its so bad... the show is a comedy.
