Special Larry Sanders Show DVD set coming in April

Larry Sanders ShowI don't think I've ever heard news that this was coming to DVD, but fans can be happy that this special set comes out on April 17.

It's not a first season set (is there a first season set out?), it's more of a "best of" from all six seasons, even if it is titled "Not Just The Best of The Larry Sanders Show." The four disc set will include 23 episodes, a making of featurette, deleted scenes, a cast reunion, and interviews with several stars and guest stars: Jeffrey Tambor, Rip Torn, David Duchovny, Jon Stewart, Jerry Seinfeld, Carol Burnett, and Alec Baldwin.

The interviews were done a year ago by Garry Shandling himself, with a handheld video camera, so you know they're not going to be just DVD filler interviews and footage.

I just did a search and found Torrents for all the seasons. Get em while you can! If they are officially released I'd buy all of em (I own season one). It's their stupid fault leading me to illegality.

This DVD is going to be the real deal for fans of the show. I read it has over 8 hours of bonus fetaures produced by Garry himself, not some EPK company.

Not possible for further seasons. Remember all the musical performances? The clearance rates would be crazily high and they were woven into the show, so removing them wouldn't work. Unfortunately, this is probably as good as we'll ever get on DVD.

Would really like HBO to re-up the shows on OnDemand so that we can see them again in total.

Yes, there is a first season set. It came out in 2002.
