Fox News calls Anderson Cooper "the Paris Hilton of TV news" - VIDEO

by Bob Sassone, posted Jan 29th 2007 2:29PM

Anderson CooperAnderson Cooper has been going after Fox News for some of the things they've said and the way they've handled various news stories, and now the cable network is going after Cooper.

Not only are the hosts of Fox & Friends and Greta Van Susteren hitting back on the air, Fox has also taken out a full-page print ad. How can they possibly say those things about him, accuse him of being "manufactured" and that he hasn't earned his position? Are they kidding me? When was the last time we saw Steve Doocy traveling all over the world, reporting from dangerous countries and conflicts? Cooper is the one who bought a handheld camera and went to foreign countries to report before he even had a gig, when he was really young. I think he's earned it. (In related news, Fox News actually tried to hire Cooper.)

After the jump, two videos of FNC's campaign against the CNN host.

(But come on readers, if Fox News wants to say something like that, we can think of something better to call them. How should we fill in these blanks? "Fox News is the _____________ of TV news.")

Update: Looks like Fox even got the facts wrong.

Perry #529 puhleeeeze..... your ignorance is showing.
Try again on the military family members of the dems.... start with Jim Webb who has a long family legacy of serving in the military!
And several ex-military who served in Iraq returned home and ran for office as Dems. What does that tell you? Take a look at the policy makers in this admin and the talking heads who repeat the party line (Limbag etc) and not one of THEM has served in the military!
Or don't they tell you that on 'fair and balanced' (cough) fox ????

Many CNN and reporters for other networks constantly ride Fox News for reporting things that make them uncomfortable. Fox may not have shown the best taste in their ad but I have heard many untrue tasteless remarks made about them.
"Fox News is the most fair and accurate in a crazy media circus in TV news."
These news agencies have had ads against each other in large metro areas for years.

Fox News is the comedy version of the TV News.
It is not the news never the news, it is the newscasters personal opinions, the interviews are always one sided the guest is lucky to get 30 seconds to answer then the interviewers cut them off, the guest leaves and then they rip him up on the air.
Fox & Friends is no better, it is a morning comedy show and never has been FAIR AND BALANCED.

FOX News is the only network news that reports both the good and bad news. It's amazing to me how only the extreme Dem lovers are the one's to bash FOX. I have over 60 friends and family in the military and they say that FOX NEWS is the only news that they listen to because the other news channels only want things to look bad and work against our country and our President. They also say if the Dems cut funding and continue to say that we must pull out they will all leave the military asap. Look at how enlistment has dropped since the November elections. Let them continue at the rate they are going and the draft will be brought back because no one in their right minds will volunteer. Research the numbers and see how many Democratic politicians have family in the military, I could not find even 1 and that speaks volumes.

Fox news is the only news on TV news.

Anderson Cooper may be interesting and he may be brave, but he was kind of asking for it by badmouthing Fox like that. Did he not expect them to say anything back?
