In regards to the Jennings/Brokaw comment:

I can't post of that site so I'll leave the comment here (for all that it's worth).

Though I don't know how intelligent or knowledgeable she is, I think her quote is a non-issue. Like John Kerry's supposed mistep about the soldiers in Iraq being uneducated, I think she could have been more clear but in one case, her statement isn't incorrect.

In truth, Peter Jennings did step down from the nightly news broadcast. He died several weeks later but he did step down.

In regards to Brokaw, she's talking about "his" show, which the NBC Nightly News was considered during his tenure as anchor. She didn't say that he was still anchoring.

I dunno. It all comes down to nitpicking I guess. Ultimately, it seems like a non-story to me.
