'Community' Renewed For Season 4 On NBC
Double-take: Actress on both Heroes and 24
Heroes and 24 have more in common than a 9 p.m. time slot on Monday nights.
One actress -- Rena Sofer -- appears as a minor character on both programs.
On 24, she's Jack Bauer's sister-in-law Marilyn Bauer, who was once (or still is?) in love with the American hero, and, if you go by the internet rumor mill, may have had a love child with the CTU agent.
On Heroes, she's Heidi Petrelli, the newly disabled wife of New York City politician Nathan Petrelli who can fly, and has a brother, Peter Petrelli, who can absorb his fellow heroes' powers.
In the February 9 dead-tree edition of Entertainment Weekly, reporter Dan Snierson tried to coax Sofer into telling him which show she likes better. But the wise woman wouldn't bite and instead listed some of the pluses and minuses of both programs, including: On 24 it's much simpler because there's only one hero to follow, but she said Heroes has a much better catch-phrase.
