Did Idol producers try to replace Paula Abdul with Belinda Carlisle?

The fact that Paula is on American Idol is ridiculous to begin with. She has little talent, would definitely not be chosen to 'go to Hollywood' after an initial audition, and she comes off as an fool. She basically acts much like Anna Nicole Smith did in interviews, right before she died -- like a babbling idiot.

The show would not have the same chemistry if any of the three left. It would be very boring. I love when Paula gets on Simon's case about something,and there are times when Simon,s raw honesty is needed although there are times when he picks on the wrong artist.Leave Paula right there. They will make a big mistake if they got rid of her.

It seems like the rumors of Paula seemed to have started after Rosie insinuated that she was drinking. In my opinion I think Rosie is a very annoying person who will say anything for attention. She is probably jealous that Paula is skinny, pretty, and talented because she's NOT. If this is true, it's kinda weird that there has not been any rumors of Simon or Randy being replaced. I think only women do this to each other. I hate it that people can't just leave good situations alone. Who else thinks Simon is cute??

Do those of you who slammed Paula feel superior now? Look in the mirror next time before throw those verbal stones.

Belinda Carlistle could only wish to be as good as Paula. I doubt the rumor is true anyway. She could have made it up for publicity! As far as the drinking, who cares if she does or doesn't. People are happy with the show anyway. Let's all hve one for Paula :O)

Belinda Carlisle has a classiness to her that I have known since her 1987 album. She wouldn't have the gushiness that Paula Abdul has. I have loved Belinda since the Go-Go's and her solo career. She would give good sound advice to the finalists. I like Paula, but she's been running out of steam the last two seasons. The loopiness I just can't take. Belinda would make a nice choice if they ask her publicist or manager soon.

Hey Nancy #56, you may be right about Paula but at least she is not a "never been with no talent" To top it it off you probably weigh 300 lbs and look like the rear end of a mule.

I'm new to watching Idol, but if paula left it would really suck. The 3 judges work well together and make the show. People really need to get lives and stop trying to ruin other people to make them feel better!! And I don't even know who Belinda Carlistle is anyway? Or do I??

Paula is a PILL head and it is obvious

Paula use to be fun to watch, but lately - she has some serious issues within herself she needs to deal with before she gets in front of a camera & allows millions of people to watch her behavior deteriorate. It is a shame that this has happened, but it's best she deal with it soon.
