The Daily Show: February 12, 2007

Jon Stewart"Death of a Person": The only thing that managed to knock the "astronaut in diapers" story off the headlines was the (un)expected death of Anna Nicole Smith.

Senior Entertainment Correspondent Rob Riggle explained why the media has been in a tizzy over Anna Nicole Smith's death. John Oliver, in the grave adjacent to Anna Nicole Smith's, popped in again, for, like, the millionth time. And what was up with the media calling Anna Nicole Smith our Lady Di? No. Just... no. Then, Senior Media Analyst Jason Jones came by the studio to elaborate. He was okay. I've been slowly (very slowly) warming up to Jones since his Laguna Beach segment.

"Obamania!": Barack Obama announced his candidacy. Um... Surprise? Senior Black Correspondent Larry Wilmore elaborated on the "black" and "African" issue. Geez, a lot of correspondents came into work. Wilmore's delivery is still pretty crappy. Good jokes, though. Oh, and using the Aflack duck for "half-black"? Genius.

The night's guest was Jeffrey Rosen, author of The Supreme Court: The Personalities and Rivalries That Defined America. Those stories about Scalia were pretty surprising. Yeah, Scalia's a real dick, heh.

Jon/Stephen: Haha, Stephen Colbert's reading some Ayn Rand. Moment of Zen: Who da baby daddy?

I was suprised at the number of correspondents on as well. If Samantha Bee popped up then it would have been ALL of the current regular correspondents. Guess she was a little too busy ;)
