Mr. Belding rocks out to Journey - VIDEO

by Adam Finley, posted Feb 17th 2007 11:04AM

dennis haskinsHello, are you enjoying your weekend?

Yeah, thanks for asking, Adam.

No prob. Do you know what would make your day even better?

Um, Mr. Belding from Saved By the Bell singing "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey?

Yes, imaginary person in my head, that's exactly what would make this great day even greater, and just for you and all my adoring readers, I've placed a video after the jump of Belding himself (real name: Dennis Haskins) joining metal band Metal Skool on stage along with football player Tony Romo for a rousing rendition of the hit song. Belding even treats the crowd to a truncated version of the Saved By the Bell theme. The best part comes toward the beginning when he's mistakenly introduced as "Mr. Belvedere."

The video contains LOTS OF CURSING, so don't watch it of you're at work or church.

This doesn't surprise me in the least. A few years back in New Orleans during a television Convention, my co-workers and I frequented a strip club called "Big Daddy's". We were always welcome... until Dennis haskins would show up with a fist full of Twenties! Then all the gals would run off screaming "We love Mr. Belding, We love him". The rest of the evenings entertainment cosisted of watching Mr Belding get a number of lap dances..

He was probably slightly inebriated. I also like how, once, he attempted to step back from his character. He said, "I think Dennis Hastings.." did X. Like he doesn't want to get sued by the TV people.

Overall, cool video, though.

Is it just me, or is Haskins very touchy-feely? He's rubbing his hands all over the guys on stage!

That would have been quite amusing to see. :p
