Desperate Housewives: The Little Things You Do Together
(S03E15) Whoa! Didn't see that coming! When Andrew got tossed down the stairs, I thought for sure he was going to be the one who bought it this week. But this episode was absolutely, 100% better than last week's episode. Somebody said last week in the comments that they thought last week's episode was like a connector piece in which nothing happened so things could build to this week. I think that's what happened.I have to admit that I am really happy to learn that Orson is innocent of all wrong doing. As much as I love it when Kyle MacLachlan plays evil, it's nice to know that the worst thing he is guilty of is hitting Mike with his car. But I think we know now that there is even a reasonable explanation for that, considering what Gloria had put him through.
Everybody had good story lines tonight. Lynette is grappling with the fact the she isn't perfect and Tom is nailing her to the wall for it. Yes, maybe he did over-react, but the fact that Lynette ordered the wrong chairs could be construed as a passive/aggressive attempt to undermine him. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I think she likes it when Tom falters and she has to bail him out (even if she did bail him out badly this time). What do you think he gets out of his marriage to Lynette?
When did Andrew stop being a psychopath and become Bree's biggest fan? But good for him for going after Grandma. Do you think he's ever going to buy Orson as a good guy?
I'm glad they finally got rid of Alma. She served her purpose. It's getting a little unoriginal to have everybody dying from falling from great heights. And are you telling me that Orson survived HIS fall but Alma died of hers? I had a friend who had a stroke three years ago, when she was 35. She was initially diagnosed as being Locked In, which is where we left Gloria tonight. Trust me: It is the diagnosis that every doctor dreads as the very worst thing that they see, and the one thing they wouldn't want to have happen to them. It is the very worst kind of hell. My friend was very lucky-- but it seems like a fitting punishment for Gloria.
It is hilarious that Carlos is intimidated by the size of Zach's... sausage. I was surprised that Gaby didn't decide to give Zach a go after she found out how big a man he really is. But I think she made the right call by getting rid of him (yeah, right). It's nice to see Gaby and Carlos taking baby steps back together.
Susan actually got a more interesting storyline than I was expecting: When Ian went to pick up Jane's things at the hospital, the nurse accidentally gave him Mike's stuff. There was a small velvet box with a diamond ring in it. So, immediately, Ian knows that if Mike hadn't had his accident, Mike was planning to ask Susan to marry him. And now Mike is getting his memory back. Can you blame Ian for rushing things a bit? Do you think he should tell Susan what he found? Nahhhh, she still has the hots for Mike. She'd leave Ian in a heartbeat. It's better this way. At least, if you want interesting television, it is.
