American Idol's most oversung songs revealed
"I am very tempted to say to twenty-three people, book your plane tickets home", says Simon Cowell after LaKisha Jones' performance on American Idol last night.
Amen Simon. I know you're not serious but one can dream. Is this season killing you like its killing me? I cannot watch any more extremely attractive women sing songs that they are obviously not capable of singing. Nor can I watch Randy say "Big Girl, Big Song", anymore. Its very obvious who has the real talent and its obvious that the women are going to be voted for their stunning looks, or their stunning singing ability. There isn't really one that completely encompasses both and...
...what was with all the performers last night singing songs about "You're gonna love me", "I'm special" and all the other self congratulatory, ego stroking lyrics.
Am I wrong? Or did we hear *two* Celine Dion songs last night? How many times in Idol history have we heard songs from Elton John, Whitney Houston, that damn Mariah Carey or songs made popular by other Idol alumns?
How many times do we have to listen to the same song over and over every season?
Its become such a dilemma that a poll was taken that designated which songs were "The Most Oversung Songs on American Idol".
I cannot be more bored with American Idol than I already am, I partially blame last night's episode as well as last night's episode of Lost, for having me fast asleep before 11pm last night. It was the first time. Sheesh.
