Six Degrees returns Friday, March 23

To update Bob's strange news item from Thursday: Six Degrees is back on the schedule. Bob noticed a quick reference in an article that the J.J. Abrams drama is still filming, even though it's been off the schedule since early November. Now it's scheduled to return to a new timeslot on Fridays at 9 pm as of March 23rd.

It's a crappy time slot, no doubt. Especially compared to Six Degrees' original spot after Grey's Anatomy on Thursday nights. The show, about six people whose lives all intersect, struggled during its first few episodes, getting a maximum of 9.6 million viewers (less than half of the Grey's audience stuck around). Possibly because it was boring and pointless.

Whether or not Six Degrees has been retooled, we'll just have to wait and see. It looks as though the casting remains the same.

Wait, I'm confused...well, by most of that last post, but specifically: no story to "The Wire"? From where I'm watching, there's a *lot* of story...

Another note...

"Goddamn. I thought the community over at Joystiq was snippy and rude." - someone said

I agree, and I'm always on Joystiq. Maybe because we have less than a half-dozen different fanboys, while here you have...

-Grey's Anatomy female audience and the occasional odd male viewer.

-Lost "this", Lost "that" crowd

-"Evangeline Lilly and Ellen Pompeo fans defending that they are not overrated" crowd.

-Desperate Housewives fans not admitting that the writing is getting progressively worse.

-"The Wire", "Dexter", "BSG", "Heroes" fans claiming their respective show is the best on TV. How about they're all great in it's own way, because you can't compare them. It would be like comparing "Crackdown" to the GTA series. Both open sandbox games....totally different in anything else.

-Again, like above, get off of your pedestal. Especially you "Wire" fans. Critically acclaimed
by pretty much everybody, but because it's different and real. There really is no story to go along with these well written characters...and it's been around, what, 5-6 years? Am I nearsighted?

I'm glad it's coming back. I know the acting and writing was sub-par, but I got sucked into the story lines anyway. Maybe we'll see a marked improvement come spring, who knows?!

In network terms, that means they will give up on the show later and dump the rest of the episodes in the summer. Has it not been since TGIF that Friday has worked for ABC?

I dropped this show after one episode. I barely made it through that one episode too.
