does anyone know what song was playing in the background when wallace is telling veronica that he saw logan and parker having lunch together in the cafeteria??

There were hints it was Tim all over the episode.

For instance the recorded phone call saying he has no imagination. Who would set up a murder after a student copy if not someone who lacks imagination?

"The key point I think that signaled Tim as setting up Landry was when he told Veronica to "pick up the dry cleaning." Clearly he had access to Landry's clothes in order to set him up."

tim also says "meet me at [Landry's] house. i've still got his key," when veronica calls him to ask about "papa's cabin." then they go through his stuff, which clearly means he had access to landry's stuff for a while.

anyway, i also like the season-long arcs, or at least the semi-season-long ones because they still have some shock value to them. i can't imagine the show will be this good if they decide to make it a mystery per episode. it'll be like watching alias all over again.

About the final scene, when I saw it I thought it was more a possibility for the ending of the series. I don't know what episode this was this season, but I know initially they were only given a 13 episode season. I took this ending as being the original "end" of the season. Everything is, more or less, in it's place: Keith has his job back, Veronica solved the big mystery and isn't tied to any one person any longer. I thought it a good episode over all.

OK, this episode was just plain fun, in the sense that so much happened and so many twists and turns took place. Yeah, we pretty much knew it was Tim all along, but we knew it was Cassidy too, and that didn't make it any less good.

I am sad that poor Veronica keeps losing all her mentors / nemeses -- no principal, then no dean, now no Landry and no Lamb. Hopefully they will use Vinnie more the rest of the season.

And it was nice to see an arc end where Veronica wasn't in peril for a change. That "plot #72" got a little old.

I thought that was good, but agree that they should keep the story arcs. It is what makes the show unique to other shows. And if they want to make this into another Gilmore, here are three easy ways to make that happen:

1. Get rid of all the writers
2. Have Kieth and Veronica get in a fight and not interact with each other for 3/4 of the season
3. Create a story-line that no one really cares about but watches anyway just to see the end, even though they all know how it will end.

If they can do these things then maybe, just maybe they could make it the next Gilmore...

nukethewhalesagain: I thought they did throw him a bone when Tim and Veronica were having a pissing contest over who knew the most about license plates, Keith immediately figured it out. While Veronica, as the title character, does end up solving the mystery, they don't make Keith look like a bumbling idiot or anything.

Anyone else starting to dislike how they are portraying Keith as Inspector Gadget-like. I mean, I know the show is called Veronica Mars, but shouldn't they throw the man a bone every once in a while and show that he is actually smart enough to be sheriff? I also noticed how they went back to the "the killer is revealed in the episode before the finale but wait it turns out he is not the killer" formula which made the finale even more predictable.

Still it was a good episode. I couldn't help myself from liking Tim even though I knew he would eventually turn out to be the killer as soon as he walked into the prison. And I also agree that long arcs should stay because they make much better puzzles.

Hopefully they finish the season on a high note. No more scooby doo please.
