Another canine cast member for Lost

by Erin Martell, posted Feb 28th 2007 10:20AM

Hurley and Vincent, LostVincent the Dog had better not run afoul of the law anytime soon, because another dog has been added to the Lost cast. Lulu, an Airedale terrier mix, is an adopted pet of Jack Bender, an executive producer and director on the show. The dog, who was adopted locally from the Hawaiian Humane Society, has quickly become regarded as the show's mascot due to her frequent visits to the set.

Lulu's addition to the Lost cast came about through a technicality. Since animals are not normally allowed on set, Bender "cast" Lulu in an upcoming episode so she could come to work with him. Bender did not reveal the episode in which Lulu will make her acting debut. Vincent, however, will be seen in this week's 'Tricia Tanaka Is Dead.' Rumor has it that Vincent will reappear on the beach with an unusual surprise for Hurley.

LOST is the best show in the world! Untill I found LOST this year I haven't watched any tv for 2 years because there wasn't anything good on. American Idol, Heroes, and 24 are all really stupid shows especially when compared to LOST. People are so immature not realizing that if all the mysteries were revealed the show would be over. As for introducing new mysteries before they're solved others, what does it really matter? I mean that way you have more to think about during the week. Besides I'm sure I'd be hard to make a show without introducing new mysteries. People that are "lost" obvisally haven't watched all the shows and need to rent the dvds. Those who don't like the new time slot should just record it or stay up later. 11:00 is not that late. I really don't understand why people are getting tired of not seeing the 815ers on the beach. Jack, Kate, and Sawyer are much more interesting. There's not not much more to talk about rose and benard and they're not main characters so why should it matter that we haven't seen them lately? LOST is still the best show and it MUST stay for the planned 6 seasons.

Walt and Mike were given a boat by the Others and escaped the island, presumably back to civilization.

I am so disappointed by LOST. The first 2 seasons were gripping, on the edge of your seat, TV. Now its just plain boring. I missed this last episode, my first missed, and I am not even watching the tape. They can win me back by starting to solve some of the wierd stuff that happened, explain what happened to Walt and Mike, what are the numbers, black smoke, etc. In the recap of it all they didn't even mention Walt and Mike..disappointing

"Vincent the Dog had better not run afoul of the law anytime soon" OK I'm sorry but that was funny- I just picture him with his paws up on a police car getting arrested for chasing cats while drunk, and his mug shot on TMZ.

OH COME ON!!!! Have all you "turned off on Lost" people ever read a book more involved than "Fun with Dick & Jane"? TV watchers today are sooooo hypnotised they don't really watch with their mind, just their eyes ... thus they miss the point & the pleasure of a show like LOST. Inventive, intense and extremely involved, it takes imagination and talent to write, direct and perform (especially if written "as they go"!) and I appreciate the complicated and mysterious "seat of your pants" feel of the show. Whatever or however they are accomplishing this, they are winners in my book and deserve kudos for being the most interesting show down the pike for a LONG time. As for the dog, with the "others" being there, what's wrong with another dog? It's just a DOG, after all, Sam. Open your minds and enjoy the consequences!

I agree, the storyline was so much better while the others were a mystery. I've stopped watching altogether.
