they are not wasps but half waaps (which dont really count cuz they are not practicing either). i think the whole point was to have a nondenominational family.
also - the latest genetics are that blue eyes can have brown eyes- and brown eyes can have blue. It is the trick recessive gene to blame and the fact that eye color is coded on more than one strand!

Perhaps this is just me being little bit nitpicky but the casting for Rebecca wasn't very well planned.

William = blue eyes
Holly = blue eyes
Rebecca = brown eyes???

Again, maybe I just pay too much attention to details, but eye color genetics is fairly common knowledge, and two blue eyed parents cannot produce a brown eyed child. So either the casting directors really screwed this one up or perhaps she's not really William's daughter?

Sarah's character has crossed the line for me. She's become truly evil, with no conscience whatsoever. It was none of her business to tell Rebecca something like that. It was utterly cruel and unwarranted, no matter how angry she was at her father or Holly.

And she was also completely wrong for trying to hide it from their mother. She was more to blame because the guys followed her lead. I'm sure if she'd been all for telling their mom, they would've gone along with it. She's really become a nasty character--she makes Brenda from "Six Feet Under" likeable.

Saul was the only one acting like an adult, in telling his sister (I agree his apology to Holly was haphazard at best).

...And it's so great to see Emily van Camp as a series regular again! I still miss "Everwood."

Love the show and this week's episode was so realistic. I love that Sally Field seems very natural in this role, and Rob Lowe makes a nice addition to the cast. KEEP HIM.
I am wondering about the logo at the end of the show that reads, After Portsmouth and has a picture of a Tugboat. Does anyone know the meaning of this?

So hilarious when Rebecca and Justin were talking about how eewww--what if they had met before and had 'done it'--of course that's what everyone was thinking 'cause they're both HOT! I'm confused about how they'd know the same people from high school--she's 20 and isn't he at least 26? I don't find Sally Field over the top at all and I adore her scenes with Saul. I hope Sarah doesn't get all 'Brenda-y' (Six Feet Under) when she flips. She always scared me.

I am not surprised that Kevin reacted the way he did to the tabloid piece. He has displayed theatrics when he was being dragged out of the closet (which he is still halfway in, might I add) by his flamboyant ex boyfriend. I am surprised that he didn't defend himself to make it look less conspicuous, but it seems as though he's blinded by his love for Chad and will do stupid things in the name of defending Chad. Let's hope it doesn't ruin the relationship.

As far as the rest of the Walkers and their reaction to a new half sibling -- of course they were going to act that way! They're still in denial about the sainthood of William! These are spoiled affluent wasps (yes I know they're half Jewish but they do not subscribe to the faith) and they are mourning a man they didn't really know (Kitty got it right)! A half-sibling is the icing on the crap cake of a 20 year longhi affair. I'm sorry that the children's father and his mistress went through such pains to keep poor Rebecca in the dark. Kudos to Justin for going to meet his sister. I hope the rest of them step up to do the same. I think that Rebecca will be happy with her new brood of siblings once they all get to know each other and some of the tension wears off.

Sarah needs a reality check. I've been waiting for her to cheat with her former co-worker. She has a mean streak a mile long in her and she IS the daughter of William Walker so we know she has the guts to commit the deed and to try to hide it because she's so good at hiding things. Unfortunately I think Sarah's reality check is going to come when she finally loses her marriage.

In addition, I am beginning to wander if Chad sicced the tabloid on his relationship with Kevin, because what's the end result of Kevin not leaving well-enough alone? He is not only "back in the closet," he is now under the floor boards. I am surprised he agreed to this arrangement, and am curious as to how long this will last before Kevin gets sick of it/frustrated. Chad might be yummy, but he's not comfortable with himself, and Kevin, who's anything but, might have to boot him. (I get the feeling it did not even occur to Kevin to deny his being gay to the tabloider, and his pause when the latter asked about Chad's sexuality, spoke voluminously).

Maybe I'm the only one (actually it looks like Adrienne #2 and Khamel #3 agree), but despite disagreeing with Sarah (she was spiteful, agreed), I completely DID NOT feel sorry for Holly; I felt she was trying to have her cake and eat it too, i.e., keep a good relationship with her daughter, tell her slowly about "Bill," while ignoring the fact that the bomb she and William unleashed on the Walker family completely devastated them and might be causing tiny little rips in the family as we speak. For the first time, when she was angry at Sarah, I felt that she too just got a little taste of how every Walker has been feeling.

No Sarah should not have done what she did, but did Holly deserve it, YES. Now, now, I know the affair was not all Holly's fault, but this week's episode seemed to contain a lot of projection (e.g. Kitty and Nora projecting their anger at Sarah) and since William's ass is not around, Holly is left to reap the anger that they sowed.

i might just be an ass but i think what sarah did wasn't THAT bad. I don't think she should have done it but Holly DID insinuate herself in the family business (she didn't need to do that) and while i agree that this is William's fault, she could have easily fallen out of their life and didn't. Sarah WAS telling the truth but it wasn't proper. The one part i think was fair (from Sarah) was talking about the issue of timing. Holly could/(should?) have told her daughter about William if only because he was a) dead b) her father c) she had to know this was going to happen based on how well she knew Sarah.

Other than that, i thought the Kevin part was funny and sad at the same time and i love Rob Lowe and keep wishing i would blink and the West Wing were still on tv with aaron sorkin and robe lowe.
