I'm old enough to have watched Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show, but not quite old enough to have the appreciation for him some of my older constituents have. Nevertheless, Carson was usually the last thing I saw before drifting off to sleep at night and heading off to school in the morning. His laid back delivery and avuncular style made me rethink my plans to destroy all the old people in the world. In my defense, I had just seen the movie Cocoon and thought it was a documentary; I was afraid an army of revitalized senior citizens were going to take over the world.

Anyway, if you tune into Larry King Live this evening at 9:00 p.m., Larry will be dedicating the hour to the late Carson. Carson's second wife Joanne will be on the show, and there will also be "never before seen footage."
