Lost death pool update: Week six

by Erin Martell, posted Mar 15th 2007 2:21PM

Emilie de Ravin, LostThe death pool gets more interesting with each new episode. "Par Avion" featured another unexpected death, and a few pool participants have moved ahead of the pack as a result. I will wait to name names until after the jump, but I can say that this death qualifies for the "awesome death" bonus points. The death scene was so cool that I actually watched it a couple of times.

Two people marked this person for death, so no one receives double points this time around. The final total for this week is 21 points (5 for a correct pick, 11 episode points, and 5 bonus points for a cool death). Check out the updated pool standings and death specifics below. Stop reading now if you want to avoid "Par Avion" episode spoilers.

Mikhail was, unfortunately, not long for this world. He was oddly grateful to Locke for throwing him against the invisible barrier, which caused him to have a cerebral hemorrhage. Congrats to Chris Wyant and Dennis K for being the only ones to choose Mikhail in the pool. They each receive 21 points for the selection. Way to go!

Chris Wyant deserves extra kudos for being the only person to have two correct picks so far. Chris is now in the lead with 42 points. Nice job, Chris! If Paulo dies, you will be unstoppable. Black Viking is in second place with 34 points, after the unique Ms. Klugh pick. The following people are tied for third place, with 21 points: Alex, Andrew, April, bbf203, Brody, Craig, darciedyan, Dennis K, Diana, Don, Dustin, Gina, Gregory Capobianco, Holli, Hubba, jks, John S., Kat, Kenneth Chong, Kris Clark, Kristi Parry, Lauren, mgamark, michou2880, Morgan, nandy, PlusDrew, Priscilla, RedStarRevolution, Sam, Stephanie, Thomas Cushard, Tracy, ts, TuckerKatt, and TVblogger.

This pool is starting to get exciting. Good luck to everyone next week!

Well I hope he's dead! Haha. And if he is alive, what kind of quality of life would he have? Did you see the blood SHOOTING out of his ears?! If he survived, surely he'd be deaf and have a killer headache; then someone would shoot him. No room for vegetables on LOST, except Claire's mom I guess.

I noticed the breathing as well. I was bracing myself for him to reach up and grab Kate before the others could get over the fence.

I agree, I don't think we can mark Mikhail dead any more than we can mark Kelvin dead.

Ms Klugh, yes she was shot, that's a death. And I know they said he looks like he had a cerebral hemorrhage, but who knows, especially on this island.

Did no one notice Mikhail breathing when they showed a shot of Locke looking at him after having gone over the pylons himself? It was quite apparent in the HD broadcast, a bit harder to see in SD but Mikhail chest defiantly was going up and down.
