Penny Marshall, Cindy Williams to reunite for new show

by Bob Sassone, posted Mar 22nd 2007 8:01AM

Laverne & ShirleyNow here's an odd little news item.

TV Land president Larry Jones says that a new TV show is in the works featuring former Laverne & Shirley stars Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams. The two would play themselves and live in Marshall's house, where the show would be filmed.

This could be ... interesting -- or an utter disaster. But it does bring up a fun question: what other former TV pals would you like to see in a reality show? How about Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore living together? How about Jerry Mathers and Tony Dow? Jack Klugman and Tony Randall would be great, but Randall passed away several years ago.

Readers? Maybe Suzanne Somers and Joyce DeWitt would be up for it.

There was some talk about Tom Sellick coming back with a remake of " Magnum P.I." and he's still not too old to pull it off. Beside's that he's still a fantastic actor. That would be great to see.

Here's further proof that gay, Zionist Hollywood has totally run-out-of ideas to enrich themselves. This latest series proposal (based on an old premise, using old people) would be too painful to watch. It's bad enough that "reality" shows have supplanted scripted material but now, after spending decades in syndication, the old "roommate" format is being brushed-off-again for serious consideration. Just how many more variations on this same theme can people stand, anyway ????? Cyberspace is the future, man!!!

Great idea!!!!!!!!!! I would watch it again. It would be better then what is being produced for TV today. They could bring on a speical guest each week that they have worked with over the last forty years. Go for it "Penny and Cindy".

Who would want to look at Penny Marshall's ugly face again? I didn't like her back when and I'm sure not going to watch her now. Both of their careers must be zilch so they are trying anything to make a few bucks.

Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams as themselves would be a big yawn. But I'd love to see what happened to LaVerne and Shirley, to say nothing of Lennie and Squiggy. THAT would be worth tuning in for.

A reality show starring Suzanne Somers and Joyce DeWitt...That's one you'll never see. Joyce still hates Suzanne. Suzanne doesn't have any hate. When one has beauty and money, one doesn't need hate. There a lesson in that sentence, for Joyce. Drop the hate luggage, Joyce, because all it's doing is weighting you down.
