Bill Clinton's a 24 fan, but Grey's is his favorite

Bill Clinton While critics may heap criticism on the torture-heavy Fox thriller 24, a former commander in chief -- and spouse of a current Democratic presidential candidate -- is a fan of watching Jack Bauer hunt down terrorists.

Former President Bill Clinton said even though 24 is run by "an uber right-wing guy" (referring to producer Joel Surnow), he thinks the show is fair in making both Democrats and Republicans look equally evil, according to a Reuters article.

Of other contemporary programs, Clinton said he's fond of Boston Legal and that his McFavorite is Grey's Anatomy. (Wonder where he stands on the Callie-Izzie contretemps?)

The Hollywood Reporter also said Clinton likes watching TV Land -- I Love Lucy, All in the Family and Bonanza -- because his wife, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, is frequently away campaigning and it gives "me something to do at night."

Did Clinton really use the word "uber"? I was really hoping that word would go no further than geeks describing their sweet rig they just threw together (it was really easy, actually), but it looks like it's too late...

Maybe my fellow liberals who are criticizing 24 for being too "right-wing" will shut up now. I'm not Bill Clinton's biggest fan, but I give him props for recognizing political allegory when he sees it. Now, concerning his adoration of Grey's Anatomy, that's another story. Ugh!

The fact he is the best president in a long time scares the shit out of me.

And he likes women having sex on Grey's Sexfest? Wow, that's shocking. The Earth is round? What?!?!

Nice to see he likes Boston Legal, also about an old guy sleeping with numberous women.

Grey's Anatomy is about:

* Women who sleep with their bosses
* Adulterous relationships and their fallout
* Powerful men who are considered charming no matter how often they screw up
* People who are really good at their jobs despite constant distractions from their messy personal lives
* A nice man who seems to regret rushing into marriage with a powerful woman who kind of scares him

Now, why on earth would Bill Clinton enjoy a show like that?
