Sprint launches Pivot wireless, broadband, voice and cable package

by Brad Linder, posted Mar 27th 2007 5:56PM
Sprint PivotSprint has officially launched its new Pivot service today (even though it's already been available for a while in limited markets).

What's Pivot? It's Sprint's name for a service that manages to put telephone, cable, broadband, and wireless phone service all together on one bill. Besides cutting down on the number of trees that have to die just so you can pay your utility bills, there are a few other perks.

Sprint is partnering with cable companies, including Comcast, Cox, and Time Warner. Those customers will be able to access program guide data on their phones, and remotely schedule their PVRs. This is something Verizon customers with TiVo can already do.

PiVot is already available in 8 cities, and will launch in 40 more cities by the end of the year.
