Why the heck is Larry David consulting with the NY Jets?

Larry DavidIt must be great to be rich and well-known. You can go completely out of your area of expertise and actually have professionals looking for your opinion.

That's what I thought of when I read this story about Curb Your Enthusiasm/Seinfeld creator Larry David. He's consulting with New York Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum and coach Eric Mangini about their draft choices. Turns out David is a big, big football fan, and called the Jets up last year to give them some advice. They didn't listen to him last year, but this year they're actually talking to him.

This could be a trend. I want to hear Rosie O'Donnell's advice on who the Red Sox should trade before the All-Star Game break, and I wonder if Andy Dick knows how well David Beckham is going to do in Los Angeles?

#5 - that's hilarious! I love Larry David and I know the real George Costanza...

First off Larry David is awesome. The man can do no wrong. Second, the jets need as much advice as they can get, they suck! Go Eagles!

Here's a case of life imitating art if ever there was one. If George Costanza, a character based on Larry David, can work for the New York Yankees, why shouldn't the real article work with the Jets?

Hello, people, a damn guy who acted with a chimp had access to nuclear weapons. So a man with more free time than any of us loves football and he wants to help his team. What's the big deal?

Should this have been Posted 5 days ago? As a avid J.E.T.S fan I find it hard to comprehend Mangini and Tennenbaum taking advice from anyone let alone Larry David. Maybe hes giving advice to Mangini on how to smile?
