Scott, what's ironic about your cartoon parody of 24 is that the writers of 24 intended this season to be a self-parody. A satire of the previous five seasons. The critics have been complaining that they're recycling plot lines. Well, they have-as a kind of joke. As part of a con. I've been getting it. And laughing. For some reason, everyone else has been taking everything that's happened this year at face value. They would prefer to criticize rather than try to see the sophisticated spoof that's right in front of them.

I do think this is kind of a filler season, an offbeat prelude to the final chapter and the movie they're planning to make. Honestly, I don't see them going past next year. Producer Jon Cassar has gone on record that he wants a seven-season run for 24. And I don't think they should try to go past that.
