Animation news: another Drinky Crow clip, Creature Comforts and Birdman the video game
Here's some animation news from the past week:
You can see a short clip from the new Drinky Crow series for Adult Swim here. The series is based on the Maakies comic strip by Tony Millionaire. It debuts May 13.
Also in Adult Swim news: our pals over at Joystiq picked up on news of a Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law video game that'll be released this fall. There's not much news on the game just yet, other than it'll be developed by Capcom for the Playstation 2 and PSP.
If you have kids, they might like to know that Olivia, the little pig from the children's books of Ian Falconer, is coming to Nick Jr. for a new CGI animated series. Twenty-six episodes of the new series have been ordered.
Also, if you or your kids are fans of Ed, Edd n Eddy, then unplug the phone, lock the doors and sit yourself down in front of the tube for a 33-hour marathon of every single episode of the series, starting at 9:30 a.m. on April 27.
If you want to hear Ed, Edd n Eddy creator Danny Antonucci talking about animation and using language that's not suitable for kids, click here. Seriously, the clip contains very strong and very NOT SAFE FOR WORK language.
This summer, look for Creature Comforts on CBS, an American version of the popular animated series from Aardman Animation, the studio behind Wallace and Gromit. The series premieres June 4. The original series was based on the Academy Award-winning short by Nick Park.
