by Isabelle Carreau, posted Apr 25th 2007 2:23PM
Marsha ThomasonLast week, Marsha Thomason made her debut on the ABC series Lost as Naomi the parachutist. Even though she didn't have much screen time in last week's episode, Thomason's role will expand in tonight's episode and is even said to drop a bombshell on the survivors. When spoilers about her role first leaked, it was said that the character would be a regular. It is unknown if she will in fact be a regular or a recurring cast member. One thing is sure, Marsha Thomason will appear in most, if not all, of the remaining episodes of the season and, if the fans respond better to her character than they did to Nikki and Paulo, she may still be around in Season 3.

Many Lost fans may wonder who Marsha Thomason is but Las Vegas fans know exactly who she is. Thomason was a regular on the NBC series for a few years until her character abruptly left the show.

Marsha Thomason was born in January 1976 in England from an English father and a Jamaican mother. She started acting at 12 years old when she joined the Oldham Theatre Workshop. Lost fans (especially those who look for Easter Eggs) will be interested to know that her first official acting job was in BBC 1's The 8:15 from Manchester. In school, Thomason studied in English Language, Media Studies and Theatre Studies. She has a BA in English.

While she was at university, she landed a role in Prime Suspect 5: Errors of Judgment which also starred The Queen's Helen Mirren. After this, she appeared in many UK TV series, movies, and plays.

Her career eventually took her to the US where she starred in movies such as Black Kinght, The Haunted Mansion, and My Baby's Daddy. In 2003, she landed the role of Nessa Holt on the NBC hit series Las Vegas. Her character was written off the show at the end of the 2004-2005 season.

Marsha Thomason can be seen in the movie LA Blues currently playing in various film festivals. She is currently guest starring on Lost, Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on ABC.
