CSI: Ending Happy

Gil(S07E21) I've gotta be honest. I loved this episode, but it was frustrating. Give me more Miniature Killer! As enjoyable as these one shot episodes can be, I'm sick of being teased. Especially when those "Go To MiniatureKiller.com" lower-screen graphics keep popping up every ten seconds. At least we got some verification that Grissom and Sara are still going strong.

So the episode focused on a washed up boxer that had been living at a brothel on the outskirts of Vegas and guess what? He's dead. The question pressing Doc Robbins? What killed him?

The boxer (wasn't it the same guy who played Guardo on The Shield?) was found floating in a pool and after the autopsy, Al (who was hilarious in the episode) was left with several possibilities:

  • He was bludgeoned with a crow bar.
  • He had an allergic reaction to some seafood.
  • He was shot with an arrow in the neck.
  • He was injected with snake venom.

The best part? There's no way to prove that any of that killed him since he was found drowned in a pool. So I have to give the writers credit for crafting a very well-laid out story. The flashbacks were very cool too. Black and white, with exaggerated sound effects and make-up like an old horror flick.

rating 5Beyond that, I'm not sure what else there is to say. It was great to see Peter Stomare. He always plays good characters. Oh and hey, is it just me or is Warrick getting less and less screen time in recent episodes? I suppose none of that really matters though. These one shot episodes are meant to be just that - one and done and enjoyable. This one succeeded in doing just that, but I'm still looking forward to the conclusion of the Miniature Killer story. 5 out of 7.

I thought the episode was really good, although I am really excited about getting to miniature killer episodes. I too thought it was hilarious to see little Chrissy Seaver all grown up.
James about the miniaturekiller.com site, 4.26 was the date that the website was up and running. Is anyone going to enter the contest to play a dead body? I know I am. I was talking about it with a co-worker today on how we would want to be killed for the storyline. I am going to enter this week after the new show since you can only enter between 8pm and 12pm the next day.

I figured out who the miniature killer is! It's gotta be Junior from Reno 911. Gotta be. (that would be the *best* *crossover* *ever*)

Stormare + Whitmore = Best CSI episode ever. That just trumps everything.

Sheeesh... and you guys bitch about how corny and over the top CSI: Miami is!

This week's episode was pretty lame compared to most weeks. While it was definitely an exercise in creative writing for those responsible for the script, I thought that little of it suited the characters in this week's episode. Between this week and that giant RAT doing its best "Alien" impression last week, I'd say you guys need to lay off on the constant criticism of the Vegas team's counterparts in Miami. Compared to the last few weeks, I think that "H" has got it pretty darn easy!

This episode was a hoot. And the Frankeinstein effects were the best. Also was Brookes Hadley from Shawshank.

I agree, I liked this episode, but it was frustrating because you know we're just waiting for May sweeps to start so the MK storyline will be resolved.

That said, this episode made me laugh, especially with Brass and all the suspects and Doc Robbins calling him every time.
