(S03E16) "So why don't you and your hoopty just move along." - Drama

Johnny (or should I say John Chase?) seems to be consistently getting every funny line Entourage offers lately, and much like Vince feels about Amanda, I sort of like it. Speaking of Amanda, my suspicions were confirmed. She's smitten over her client and while Vince says he feels the same way, I get the impression that Amanda is far more head over heels than Vince is. We've seen Vince get that way with Mandy Moore. He's not even close to that level. She's falling for him, he's still on a high from the single(?) night of sex, and the best part is that their little tryst was only one part of this great episode.

As I've mentioned before, the break between Ari and Vince has done wonders for the show. It's opened up the possibility for so many more story-lines and given far more screen time to people who deserve it. And by "people," I of course mean Drama. We'll get to him, but back to Ari first.

We got another "Ari on his own" plot in this episode. Once again, he and Vince didn't speak at all and I have to say that it's not a bad thing. Ari and his wife made a pretty convincing argument for having their own show in this episode because they owned every scene they were in. This actually may have been the most time Mrs. Ari has been in an episode, not to mention the first full episode where Ari wasn't even in the office once... at least that I can recall. My point is that those two are really good together and it was definitely showcased here. To be honest, Artie Lange guest-starring was obviously supposed to be the big draw and it's what had me excited, but Ari and Mrs. Ari stole the show in that regard. (Random thought... Ari mentioned that Scott (Lange) was ahead of Conan O'Brien at "the Lampoon." Had there ever been a previous mention that Ari had gone to Harvard?)

Back to Drama... best plot we've gotten from him in a while. Just really solid from all points. From Pauly Shore and his wannabe Punk'D rip-off, to the altercation with Chuck Liddell, to Drama being humiliated by Girl Scouts, what didn't this story have? I think my favorite part was when he told Vince that being selected to get "got" on Pauly's show counted as his second pilot of the season.

Now I guess we wait. As much as Amanda acts professional, I think the relationship with Vince is going to become a problem for her before it becomes one for him. Eric knows now, so he'll be on the look-out and I almost wonder if he may be the one to tell Ari in an effort to help get things back on track. Ari may have seriously screwed Vince in the past, but not like Amanda is doing right now. So I'll go with a 6 out 7 only because I predicted Amanda would go all Bambi eyes on Vince. I wouldn't mind seeing her go back to her hard-ass self out of nowhere though. She melted awfully fast. That's what Vince does to the ladies though. No surprises there.
