We're looking for a new blogger

by Keith McDuffee, posted Apr 30th 2007 11:08AM
tv squad logoThe time of year is upon us when there are just way too many things happening on the west coast, and we simply don't have all of the resources necessary to keep up with them all -- and that's why we're once again putting the call out for another addition to our fine team of bloggers.

As is sometimes the case, we've got some specific requirements you need to fulfill before we consider your application. Read on below for details.

In order to help us in the way we need at the moment, please don't apply with us unless you fulfill the following:

  • Live in or very near the Burbank and Los Angeles area and are able to travel in and around the area easily. This includes any of the studios and shooting locations for television shows.
  • Willing and able to do interviews of TV personalities (from actors to writers; from directors to producers) both on the phone and in person -- experience here a big plus.
  • Willing and able to go to events in the city and help cover them.
Does this sound like you? If so, email three original writing samples (these must be applicable samples, similar to things you'd see posted on TV Squad) along with a bit about yourself and why you think you're a good match to appsATtvsquadDOTcom. Please don't simply direct us to your blog or former pieces of work, and DO NOT send attachments of any kind (I'm serious. Don't do it.) We'll update this post when we've found who we need. Please do not apply in the comments below -- only emails to the address mentioned.

Oh, and before you ask, yes this is a paying gig and we will discuss what that pay is with qualified applicants.

The formatting has been changed since the first site redesign. The font in the posts is bigger, making it stand out better, and the width of the site was increased as well.

Despite what you wrote, we took readers' suggestions seriously and passed them on to those who do the site design, thus the aformentioned changes.

I have no idea what this means: "I actually expected a requirement of being a comedian trying to break into show business as well."

No requirements to actually watch or be interested in a TV show either. I actually expected a requirement of being a comedian trying to break into show business as well. They also forgot the ability to completely ignore any critiques including the crappy new formatting. Oh well, time to find a new blog.

So no requirements for grammar and spelling? No surprise there.

And greetings from Assholeville.
